Team Ministry
MINISTRY TEAMS
Youth Encounter offers a variety of relational youth ministry teams: National and International Music Ministry teams, National and International Community Based Teams, Service Ministry teams, as well as summer teams.
We are looking for young adults, ages 18-30, with strong personal faith in Jesus Christ, who are willing to let God lead them through a year of spreading the Gospel in a new and exciting way. If you are a college graduate, there is a possibility of working toward a Master's Degree through Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, or if you're an undergrad, there is a possibility of getting college credit for your work.
Individuals on the team will raise support through Youth Encounter's sponsorship program. Also, Asking people you know to join you in this ministry with prayer and financial support is a way for you to share this ministry opportunity with others.
Ministry teams have a 12 month tenure beginning and ending in August the following year. Training will be done near Youth Encounter headquarters in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area for all teams with additional training for the community based teams to be held in their community.
COMMUNITY BASED TEAMS
 We at Youth Encounter are expanding our idea of ministry teams by adding community based mission teams of young adults (four to seven in number) who will focus on ministry needs in the communities which they are located. The minimum age for a community based team is 21.
Community based teams will be designed to start new ministries with
long range plans to train up leaders that will continue ministries in
these areas after the initial start up teams have left.

TRAVELING MUSIC MINISTRY TEAMS
Captive Free National Teams
 Raise the roof with interactive concerts, hang out and play games with youth of all ages, charm wide-eyed toddlers with puppets and sing-a-longs, challenge young people and their families with insightful skits and faith sharings. If music is your voice of faith, catch a ride into the hearts of youth with Captive Free. Minimum age for Captive Free is 18.

International Teams
 International Music Team Ministry will send you on the ride of your life through a full range of experiences: acoustic guitars and hand drums in an African village to silly sing-a-longs in Australian junior school auditoriums to ministry on the streets of South America or dancing at evening worship with the people of Southeast Asia. If you have a heart for overseas mission and adventure, jump aboard an International Team! Minimum age for International Music Team is 21 but if you are the exceptional high school graduate please talk to us.

For 2008-09 we will be sending out four Captive Free National Teams and five International Music Ministry Teams to the following countries:
- Cross Fire to French Speaking West Africa
- New Dawn to Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore
- Watermark to Denmark
- Watermark to Germany and Eastern Europe
- Rainbow of Promise to India and Nepal
